Anne Stiles will present, “Rewriting the Rest Cure in Frances Hodgson Burnett's 'The Secret Garden'", at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Hawkins-Carlson Room of Rush Rhees Library on the University of Rochester River Campus.

Stiles is an assistant professor of English and director of medical humanities at Saint Louis University. She is the author of "Popular Fiction" and "Brain Science in the Late Nineteenth Century".

Stiles’ talk is part of the yearlong Neilly Series, which is supported by the Andrew H. Neilly and Janet Dayton Neilly Endowment, and the River Campus Libraries. Admission is free.
