Gates Police are investigating an attempted robbery at the Rite-Aid store on Spencerport Road.
Police say a man walked into the store just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. They say he approached the register, pulled a knife on the casher and demanded money. Police say the man left a short time later without any money and was last seen headed towards the area of Gates Memorial Park and Fox Run Apartments.
Police describe the man as 5’10”, approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair. They say he was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark shorts, a baseball cap and large sunglasses.
If you have any information, you’re asked to call 911. Gates Police say Rite-Aid is offering a $2500 reward for the arrest of the man involved.
