Former chair of Joint Chiefs of Staff to speak at Keuka College

Gen. Peter Pace, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will deliver the commencement address at Keuka College on May 29.

Pace was sworn in as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 2005 and served in the United States Marine Corps for more than 40 years. In 2008, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor a president can bestow.

Pace, who will also receive an honorary degree, counted class of 1952 Keuka College graduate Marion Cutler, who died Mar. 24, as one of his favorite teachers.
