The Walmart Supercenter on Chili Avenue in Gates has been fined approximately $365,000 by the U.S. Labor Department for Occupational Safety and Health Administration violations.

Officials say there are 24 violations of workplace safety and health standards for things like blocked exit routes, an unguarded grinder, fall hazards, no eye or face protection, and no training on hazardous chemicals in the workplace.

Ten repeat violations make up the majority of the fines, according to officials. Similar hazards were discovered at nine other Walmart locations in New York and eight other states.

Walmart has 15 days to respond.
