ABOUT VELO
As design technician, Velo will be responsible for design and CAD Documentation for projects, creating graphics for presentations and drafting in AutoCAD and Revit for schematic through construction design documents. Additionally, he will prepare 3D model drawings in SketchUp and VIZ, and assists project architects by attending site visits to document buildings and the existing conditions.
BACKGROUND
He has been interested in architecture since he was 8 years old, when he was involved with an Albanian architect during the design and construction of his family’s new house. He earned a bachelor of science in architectural technology from Alfred State College. Prior to joining SWBR Architects full time, Velo completed a two-year internship at SWBR Architects, were he assisted in the architecture and printroom departments. Velo was also previously employed at Merkel-Donohue as an installer, where he assembled and installed office cubicles, desks and chairs.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Biking, running and swimming for a mini triathlon this summer and photography in his free time.

"The biggest contribution I make to the SWBR team is my diverse knowledge in all the software SWBR uses to produce construction documents as well as presentation graphics," Velo said. "This software allows me to work on an array of different tasks to meet important deadlines. I am also very positive and interact well with team members which is a crucial part of the profession."
