Organ donors give the "gift of life," and to honor their memory, Rochester General Hospital and the Donate Life Foundation held a special ceremony in the hospital's Healing Garden yesterday, Thursday, April 19.
Dozens of butterflies were set free under a bright, blue sky.
Among those attending ceremony was Helene Ehmann, mother of organ donor Scott Conrad of Irondequoit.
"Our journey has not been easy, but we thank God for the opportunity to make a difference in other people's lives," Ehmann said.
