As previously reported the Churchville-Chili School District was the victim of a crime in the early morning of June 11, 2012. The damage was discovered by an on duty school security worker. The Monroe County Sheriff’s office was notified and an investigation began. The investigation resulted in arrests of three Churchville-Chili Seniors.
The most significant damage was done to the digital sign located on the front lawn of the high school. Spray painting of some interior walls occurred and was cleaned and repainted in time for students return to school Monday morning.
Superintendent Kissel stated that the District is saddened by the actions of these students. We take pride in our school facilities and know that the vast majority of our students treat their school building and grounds with respect. Unfortunately it was the thoughtless actions of a few that cost our district time and money to address the vandalism that occurred.
