The Gates Historical Society will hold its first meeting of 2012 from 7-8:30 p.m. March 19 at the Gates Town Hall Annex.
Speaker Judy De Rooy, Gates town historian, will give a lecture and slide presentation on the history of the town of Gates.
Rooy has been town historian since 2003, and has lived in Gates for more than 56 years.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
