Two area SUNY Geneseo students spent this year's spring break volunteering at a facility in central Florida.
Chili senior Mindy Benemati and Rochester senior Megan Olscamp recently spent their spring break volunteering with Give Kids the World.
Give Kids the World is a central Florida resort for children with serious illnesses. The children and their families enjoy weeklong vacations at the resort with no charge due to the dedication of volunteers from across the U.S.
SUNY Geneseo students are offered a wide variety of volunteer opportunities during their academic careers. The school aims to develop students as socially responsible citizens, as well as disciplined academics.
Olscamp has also previously been named to SUNY Geneseo's dean's list for the fall and spring 2010 semesters.
