Rochester Area Vegan Society will host Milton Mills as he presents “The Microbiome: How Dietary Fiber and Colonic Bacteria Improve our Health and Mental Well-Being” at 7 p.m. March 19 at Brighton Town Park Lodge, 777 Westfall Road, Rochester.
Mills is a practicing intensive care physician in Washington, D.C. He is the associate director of preventative medicine for the Physicians Committee of Responsible Medicine.
Attendees can enjoy a vegan potluck dinner at 5:30 p.m. Bring a vegan dish with enough to serve a crowd, a serving utensil and a place setting. RAVS members can help attendees make vegan dishes.
The meeting is free for RAVS members and $3 for the general public.
