Rochester Broadway Theatre League will offer a day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of $25 orchestra seats to see “Wicked” from March 29 through April 9 at Auditorium Theatre, 885 E. Main St., Rochester.
People who present themselves at the Box Office two hours and 30 minutes before performance will have their names placed in a lottery drum; names will be drawn 30 minutes before the show.
The lottery has a limit of two tickets per person. Participants must show a photo ID.
“Wicked” is the story of an unlikely friendship between Glinda the Good Witch and Elphaba, infamously known as the Wicked Witch of the West, in the Land of Oz long before Dorothy arrives in “The Wizard of Oz.” The play based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel has won a Grammy Award and three Tony awards.
