The Empire United Rochester U18 soccer team went 3-0 allowing no goals in three 1-0 games as they won the NY West State Cup Championship earlier this month in Cortland. It’s the third time this team has won the State Championship.
The team, lead by Head Coach Pat Tata and assistant coach Dom Coco, heads to Lancaster Pa. for the US Youth Soccer Region 1 Regional Championship’s later this month. The roster consists of top players from Monroe and Livingston counties.
These players are all from area high schools (Penfield, Spencerport, Mendon, Northstar Christian, Aquinas, Brighton) and area colleges (St. John Fisher and the University of Rochester).
