The Chili Conservation Board will be hosting a public information meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, May 24, to kick off the town’s open space inventory project.
The meeting will be held in the Town Hall meeting room, 3333 Chili Ave.
Bergmann Associates, a community planning and design firm in Rochester, will present an overview of the project, including opportunities for public involvement throughout the process.
Chili boasts tremendous open space resources, including parks, trails, farms, waterways, and scenic vistas, said Supervisor David Dunning.
The purpose of the inventory is to catalog and analyze these resources, examine the factors that influence their preservation, and make preliminary recommendations for expanding or enhancing these resources.
Ultimately, the results of this project will inform a more in-depth open space master plan for the town, Dunning said.
